Dynamic Duo - Stewart+Colbert

Cosplay for AnimeFest 2009. Colbert is yours truly, Stewart is the ever-awesome Doc.

This was initially going to be a big TCR homage/send-up like the Better Know a District segments, anime convention-style, but due to conflicts it was pared down to just Jon and Stephen, full stop.

I modeled Stephen's gear from his Conan/Stewart/Colbert fight, where he wears a black suit, a white shirt w/ french cuffs and a gold/blue striped tie. Partly because it's smexy and partly because I couldn't just throw together whatever and go "hurr I'm Colbert" with a straight face. It had to be recognizable. I opted for three buttons instead of two, due to personal preference. xD

The wig is a Halloweenish poc I've had for ages and is the first time I've ever layer cut anything. Not too shabby.

Fun fact: Doc is... an inch shorter than Jon, while Colbert and I are the same height (5'10"). So that helped a lot in terms of posing and all that. For once in my life I'm finally the right height as the subject I'm cosplaying lol.

ETA: For all you OCD fans, Jon is wristrong purely because we forgot to take it off for photos. Mine is behind Doc's back.
